An informative, interactive and fun introduction to the oldest form of Chinese Opera: The Kun Ju. A 600 year old form. Kun Ju was listed as one of the master pieces of the Oral and intangible heritage of humanity by UNESCO in 2001. We will learn the aspects of makeup, costume and visual elements of this ancient tradition.
Get hands on experience of this total theatre from two renowned guest artists from Beijing: Master Jiang Yang Ling and Master Sun and Facilitated by William Lau, partnership with Little Pear Garden Collective. There will be excerpts of Opera performance and small lectures on various aspects of this performing art. Audience are welcome to ask questions and engage themselves in discussions.
